Cabbage Dal/ Cabbage Pappu Koora

 
 
 

Ingredients

1 cup Green Gram / Moong Dal 
1 Cup Cut Cabbage
2 Green Chillies
10 Curry Leaves
1 1/4 tsp Salt
2 1/2 cup Water
 

Tempering

1 tsp Bengal Gram / Channa Dal
1 tsp Black Gram / Urad Dal
1/2 tsp Mustard / Sarson
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
3 tsp Oil

 
  1. Wash Green Gram Dal, add water to it and boil it for 20 mins.
  2. Cut Cabbage to small pieces and slit Green Chillies.Add Cabbage, Green Chillies and salt to Dal. Boil again for 20 mins.
  3. Tempering : Heat oil in a small pan.Add Channa Dal, Urad Dal, Sarson, Jeera and Curry Leaves.Fry a little till light brown and then add this to dal.
  4. Eat with Rice or Roti.
