Sev is the main ingredient in many Indian food and snack preparations mainly chaat items. Sev is made with Chickpea flour looks like small, thin, crunchy noodles. Sprinkle it on any chaat item and make it more tasty. It is a snack with many uses.
Ingredients
1 cup Besan Flour
1 tablespoon Rice Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Oil for deep frying
- Mix all the igredients. Add water little bywat little to make a tight dough. Take a murukku press and place the circle with small holes in it.
- Heat oil for deep frying. Place 1/3 of the dough in the murukku press. Reduce it to medium flame. Press murukku in oil. Dont' worry about the shape as we are going to break to small pieces. Fry till light golden brown on both the sides. (1/2 a minute on both sides).
- Break the sev to small pieces and store it.
