It was a complete relaxing weekend for me and kids. All their weekend classes got cancelled and we are just at home. So we three decided to have lots and lots of fun. We wasted so many papers for art work, fought a lot while playing chess, played puzzles and then made muffins, cup cakes, Icing for Cup Cakes.
To increase our fun, I let my kids make muffins, icing for the cup cakes. Everything came out really well. They made their favourite muffins Double Chocolate Chip Chocolate muffins. I like spoiling my kids sometimes with extra chocolate.

3/4 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Oil
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Milk
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1/4 cup Chocolate Chips
- Combine All purpose flour, Sugar, Cocoa powder. Add Oil, milk, water (forgot to take the picture for this step) and whisk it well.
- Add baking powder, baking soda, vanilla essence. Whisk it again. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Leave the batter for 10 mins. Now add chocolate chips and gently fold it into the batter. Don't over mix the batter after adding the chocolate chips.
- Place paper muffin cups in a muffin tray. Carefully spoon the batter into the cups. Fill only 2/3 of it. Sprinkle some chocolate chips on the top.(We forgot do this. Working with kids makes forget few things like this). Immediately transfer this pan into oven. Bake it for 20 -25 mins. or until the tooth pick inserted into till the bottom comes out clean. Take the tray out the oven. Allow the muffins to cool for 5-10 mins.
- Enjoy these Super fluffy, super chocolaty muffins.
