Ingredients
1 1/2 Cup Cut Spinach
2 Green Chillies
2 Red Chillies
1/2 tsp Tumeric Powder
1 tsp Sambar Powder
1 1/4 tsp Salt
2 tsp Rice
1 tsp Mustard / Sarson
1 tsp Mustard / Sarson
2 Cups Water
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Sugar
Tempering
2 tsp Oil
10 Curry Leaves
1 tsp Bengal Gram / Channa Dal
1 tsp Black Gram / Urad Dal
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeera
1/2 tsp Mustard / Sarson
1/2 tsp Mustard / Sarson
pinch of Hing
- Take water in a big Vessel. Put Cut Spinach in it and let it boil .
- Mean while, soak Rice and a tsp of Mustard in water for 20 mins. Remove water grind it with Red Chillies to a smooth paste. Add just 2-3 tsp of water while grinding.
- Add this paste to boiling Spinach. Add green Chillies, Salt, Turmeric Powder, Sambar Powder to it and continue boiling.
- Heat a small pan with Oil and add all items in the tempering list.Fry till Dals turn golden brown. Add this to Spinach Stew. Add Sugar and mix it.
- Not our favorite !!! But will eat because Spinach is good for health.
