Stovetop Butter Popcorn - Homemade

Movies and popcorn... What a combination. Had popcorn many times in theaters, bought popcorn packets and made it microwave oven but this stovetop method is the easiest, cheapest popcorn ever.

1/2 cup Popcorn Kernel
3 teaspoons of Butter
1/4 teaspoon Salt

  1. Turn your stove to medium. Melt butter in a large pot. Add popcorn kernels. Add Salt, mix these well.I used salted butter so I added salt accordingly. You can add butter and salt as you need.
  2. Place the lid leaving some place. After a min or two, you will hear the popping sound. Let it grow more and more. When the popping sound reduces, remove it from stove. Check if the popcorn overflows, transfer some portion into another bowl, shake it once and keep it back on stove. Popping may start again. When the sound reduces, remove it stove and dump into a bowl.
  3. Enjoy the homemade, crunchy, fluffy treat.
