Carrot Juice is one of the best vegetable juices it is rich with vitamin A and C. Adding a small quantity of Orange juice makes it more tastier.
I am a big fan of Carrot and fresh juices. Having Carrot juice is always there in my to do list when I visit vizag. But here in SA I make it at home. Don't throw the carrot pulp which you get while making this juice . You can make Carrot Halwa / Gajar ka Halwa with that in a much easier way.
Check my Carrot Halwa recipe. I have used milk in that. But I will soon the easy recipe of Carrot Halwa recipe without milk this is much easier method.
Drink this juice for good health, eyes and skin.
6-8 Carrots
2 Oranges
1/4 cup of Sugar (Optional)
- Cut the tops and peel the skin. Cut Carrot to small pieces. In a blender or processor add a cup of water blend it until finely mashed to a puree. Add 3 cups of water, mix it and let it sit for a while. Strain it into a bowl.
- Remove the skin of orange squeeze it or place the flesh in the processor and juice it. Strain it and mix with carrot juice.
- Let it sit again for a while or strain the whole juice again. Pour this into a serving jar and add water. We can make 1 1/2 litres (or 4 glasses) of juice. Taste it. Add Sugar if needed.
- Remember don't throw the carrot pulp. You can make carrot halwa with that. Will post that recipe soon.
