Sweet Potato Halwa is my favorite but I am trying to make few sweets without milk and this is one of those. Easy to make and crunchy too.
Ingredients
3 -4 medium size Sweet Potato
1 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Elaichi Powder
15 Cashew nuts
15 Almonds
3 tsp Ghee
- Clean Sweet Potato. Cut the ends and cut them to small cubes. No need to remove skin. Immerse in water and boil.
- When Sweet Potato becomes soft, drain out water completely. Add Sugar, 1 cup of water, Elaichi Powder and cook it till Sugar dissolves and water completely evaporates.
- Heat Ghee in a small pan. Add Cashew nuts and Almonds. Fry them till they turn light brown. Remove from Stove and grind half Cashew nuts and Almonds to a coarse powder.
- Add this Powder to Sweet Potato and mix it well. Add the remaining Cashews and Almonds.
