Ingredients
1 cup Yellow Lentils / Toor Dal
1 cup Spinach / Palak
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
To Temper
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp Bengal Gram / Channa Dal
1/2 tsp Black Gram / Urad Dal
1/2 tsp Cumin / Jeera
1/2 tsp Mustard / Sarson
2 green chillies
15 curry leaves
- Pressure Cook Toor Dal for 3 whistels with 3 cups of water or boil it till it becomes soft and mash it.
- Clean Spinach leaves thoroughly and cut them into small pieces. Heat a pan, add oil to temper the items in 'To Temper'. Add cut spinach after lentils turn brown and saute for 3-4 minutes
- Add salt, turmeric and boiled dal mix it and add 1 cup of water and let it boil for 5 mins..
- Enjoy this with Roti or Rice.
